Controversial social media influencer and former kickboxer, Andrew Tate, has reportedly suffered a severe allergic reaction or poisoning while in detention in Romania. Tate had been detained along with several others since December 2022, following a police raid on his residence. He took to social media to express concerns about his safety and the conditions in which he had been held.
On April 27, 2023, Tate posted a series of tweets, which have since been deleted, showing his swollen face, red skin, and video footage in which he was having difficulty breathing. He described the symptoms as some sort of allergies or poison. Tate had claimed that he only consumed water and coffee before experiencing the reaction.
The deleted tweet read, “Hard to breathe. Some sort of severe reaction or poison. Only had coffee and water so far today. All appeared in the last 5min.”
According to a statement from his manager, which was also later deleted, Tate is not allergic to anything. They suggested that he may have been the victim of an insect bite or a “matrix attack” on his bottled water.
“Andrew is not allergic to anything. This has never happened before. Has only had water and coffee today. Either an insect bite or some matrix attack insanity in his bottled water,” the manager’s deleted tweet read.
Despite his symptoms, the former kickboxer is reportedly refusing medical attention and is focusing on drinking tea and breathing.
The current status of Tate’s health is unclear, and he only posted a picture of the 1990 movie “Hard to Kill” on his Twitter handle since the incident.
