Here's the hoodie blood-stain print 'Freedom' hoodie that is selling on Amazon:
Undoubtedly, the hoodie has sparked a lot of reactions, especially among the fans of Charlie Kirk, who thought the gesture was insensitive. Earlier, similar Charlie Kirk-themed t-shirts were being sold. Priced at $22.99, they were being sold by a brand named TeleTeeShirt. The t-shirt had Charlie Kirk's famous dialogue- 'Debate Me' and 'Protect Ya Neck' - a reference to a track by the hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan.
Amazon Slammed For Selling Kirk Apparels
The hoodie also sparked a host of reactions, with users slamming Amazon for being insensitive. Here are some of the reactions.
"Hey Amazon, you have 1 hour to take this down. Signed: People ready to hurt you financially," one user wrote, threatening the Jeff Bezos-owned platform.
"I guess you didn’t know Amazon was always “one of them”. They who profit from tragedy like Amazon, in a most despicable way, are pouring salt on the wounds we are trying to heal. Shameful and maybe one day illegal. I tried quitting Amazon once but failed. Might try again," wrote another.
"So Amazon thinks it’s “funny” to sell a bloodstained hoodie with the exact same word Charlie Kirk was wearing when he was killed? This isn’t just disgusting—it’s corporate necrophilia. They’re not selling clothes, they’re selling mockery of a man’s death. Tell me again how this isn’t coordinated demoralization.
The suspect in Charlie Kirk's shooting, Tyler Robinson, was arrested on Friday.
