Pakistan’s Supreme Court on Wednesday once again threatened Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani with contempt proceedings when it maintained that the prime minister should have written a letter to the Swiss authorities as per its instructions instead of delaying the matter.

The judges hearing the contempt case observed that the PM should have written the letter first and claimed immunity for the president later. The court has given one day for prime minister’s counsel to complete his arguments after which it will decide whether to proceed with the contempt proceedings or not.
