JNUSU polls result: NOTA gets more than double of NSUI votes

Compared to 728 votes, that the four candidates of NSUI bagged, NOTA was chosen by 1,512 — more than double the number of students. Congress-backed student outfit’s presidential candidate — Vrishinika — got only 82 votes of the total 4,369 polled.

No more extension in application date for DDA 2017 housing scheme

With around 16,000 forms being received by Delhi Development Authority till Friday for its latest housing scheme, the land owning agency is unlikely to extend its last date, sources in DDA said. DDA had earlier extended the last date to September 11 as it had just received 8,000 forms.

Delhi: Centre’s push for three DDA sub-cities in Rohini, Dwarka, Narela

The Union urban development ministry has asked Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to expedite the process of building three-sub cities, which has been in the pipeline for a year. The DDA is planning three new sub-cities on 677 hectares of land in Rohini, Dwarka and Narela. A total of 259 hectares of land has been identified in Rohini, 218 hectares in Narela and 200 hectare in Dwarka for the purpose.
