Travelling along with the Tree ambulance is a plant expert and helpers who are armed with gardening tools, water, manure and pesticide.
Sangam Sevalaya is a group of some enthusiasts who are concerned over degrading environment particularly in Bundelkhand region and want to protect trees, said Vipin Awasthi, the man behind the mission who added that he created the forum in his father’s memory three years back and since then their group had been planting saplings in the district.
He said they found that 60% to 70% of the saplings they had planted died mainly due to infection. They also found that people did not know how to take care of plants and were always on the lookout for an expert’s advice.
