Fanney Khan making video gives us a keen look at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor’s characters.

As far as star casts go, Fanney Khan has both talent and stardust in droves. The film brings together Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta and has been in the news for months now. In a new Fanney Khan making video, we get to see how the actors – Aishwarya, Rajkummar and Anil – switch it on once the camera is on them.

The video opens with the introduction of film’s true Fanney Khan, Anil Kapoor. We see Anil performing at a local event at his chawl but he doesn’t let his economic condition stifle his dreams. With a dash of Shammi Kapoor and charm that is all his own, Anil is quite the package as he performs on Bollywood hits in the sequence.

From dreams of stardom to a real superstar, we next meet Fanney Khan’s Baby Singh – the stunning Aishwarya Rai. She plays a pop sensation in the film who gets kidnapped. However, whether we see her performing on stage or bound and gagged on a chair – it is clear that Aishwarya is playing quite the diva in the film.

This brings us to the man who has bound and gagged her, Rajkummar Rao. A man who wants to be a film producer one day, he has kidnapped the star but his heart is not in it. Perhaps that’s the reason why the dreamer finds himself bound to the chair. He is also reportedly playing Aishwarya’s love interest in the film.

Divya Dutta as Anil’s wife in the film and Pihu Sand as his daughter are also impressive. We also get to meet the debut director, Atul Manjrekar.

Fanney Khan is said to be a remake of Dutch movie Everybody’s Famous and is slated to hit theatres on August 3. The Dutch film’s synopsis reads: “When a family man suddenly loses his job, he is desperate to have his daughter succeed as a singer. In a chance meeting he kidnaps the most famous pop star in the country and holds her hostage, demanding to be heard by the music industry.”

Co-produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures Productions and T-Series and in association with Anil Kapoor Films Company Network, Fanney Khan will be presented by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra Pictures. The film releases in August 3.
