Aman Verma’s father, Colonel YK Verma, passed away in a car accident on March 29. The actor, who was supposed to get married to actor Vandana Lalwani a few days later (on April 20), immediately postponed his wedding after the accident, as he wanted to take care of his mother.

“I am waiting for my mum to feel better. She is not in a state to handle the preparations. I wanted the wedding to happen this year, but my mum and Vandana will take a call now. I don’t know about the date yet,” says Aman Verma.

The actor, meanwhile, has kept himself busy since then. “I am trying to wrap up my work commitments. This [accident] happened less than 20 days before the wedding functions were to begin. All of us were in a state of shock. We still are. My mum and I are trying to move on,” says the actor.

Aman says his dad was very excited about his marriage. “My relatives later told me that he had many plans for my wedding,” says the actor.

Since the family is still coping with the loss, they are yet to decide a wedding date. “I am waiting for my mum to feel better. She is not in a state to handle the preparations. I wanted the wedding to happen this year, but my mum and Vandana will take a call now. I don’t know about the date yet,” says Aman.

The actor’s fiancée, too, is extremely upset. “She doesn’t say anything. She never lets me know that she is worked up about what has happened. That’s why I feel so strongly for her,” he says.
