Amitabh Bachchan is facing the same kind of flak he did when Pink released -- male faces championing the cause of females while women themselves are absent from the picture.

Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan tweeted about his 2016 film, Pink, completing one year but he chose a wrong image, or so it seems. Amitabh is facing the same kind of flak he did when Pink released -- male faces championing the cause of females while women themselves are absent from the picture.

Amitabh posted a picture of male artistes associated with the National Award-winning film but not a single actress or crew member from the film featured in the image. Bachchan’s followers have not found the image in very good taste and are questioning how could he miss the women artistes when talking about a feminist film.

“T 2549 - The team of ‘PINK’ .. all in one frame .. and .. ALL, independent, individual .. NATIONAL AWARD WINNERS !!,” Bachchan wrote with his post.

Here are some of the worst replies his tweet triggered:

Starring Taapsee Pannu, Kriti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang, Pink won the National Award for Best Film on Social Issues. It focussed on the importance of a woman’s consent and the patriarchal society that India is.
