Anushka Sharma posts promotional photos for Pixel2XL from iPhone, gets called out
Anushka Sharma has been called out by a YouTuber for posting promotional images for Pixel2XL from an iPhone.
Anushka Sharma made a gaffe on social media and it was caught by an eagle-eyed YouTuber. On Tuesday, the Sui Dhaaga actor shared a couple of photos on her Instagram and Twitter pages as promotion for Google’s new phone, Pixel2XL. She is seen cuddling with a furry white dog in the two colourful photos. However, tech YouTuber, Marques Brownlee figured out something was off—Anushka had tweeted the pictures from an iPhone.
Marques posted screenshots to his 2.8 million followers on Twitter. “Ok I don’t even want to know how this keeps happening but it’s hilarious,” he wrote in his tweet. He even found out that Anushka had deleted the tweet and shared it again from ‘Twitter Web Client.’ “Yeah deleted and retweeted but just scroll down a bit for more Pixel ads from an iPhone lol,” he wrote in a tweet.
Another tweeted, “Maybe the photo transfered from a Pixel phone and posted from an iPhone.” Marques had a simple reply, “Going through all that work to avoid actually using the Pixel is admirable lol.”
Anushka was recently caught in a controversy with her cricketer husband Virat Kohli. They spotted a man littering in the streets and Virat made a video of Anushka scolding the man for doing so. He posted the video on Twitter, “Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness. @AnushkaSharma.”

The man who littered —later identified as Arhaan Singh—and his mother came after the celebrity couple, accusing them of wrongfully using their power. “Horrible! So I happened to carelessly litter a square millimetre of plastic while driving! A car passing by rolls their window down and there we have our wonderful Anushka Sharma ranting and yelling like a crazy roadside person!,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
Anushka will soon be seen in Sui Dhaga-Made in India opposite Varun Dhawan. The film releases on September 28.
