Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film, Kalank couldn’t have asked for better promotion. Videos of actors Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor, dancing to the film’s songs, have been shared online.
The videos have been posted online by producer Karan Johar and Varun, who stars in the film opposite Alia Bhatt (who can be heard in the background of one of the videos). The first video shows Deepika, Ranveer and Vicky doing the steps from First Class; the second shows Deepika matching Alia’s Kathak-inspired moves from Ghar More Pardesiya; and the third shows Nora Fatehi and Shraddha Kapoor dancing to First Class.
Varun wrote in his post, “@ranveersingh @deepikapadukone @vickykaushal09 aap sab Saach mein #firstclass hain. I love it when people dance on my songs at night. I mean the day is also cool but night mein baat hi kuch aur hain. @aliaabhatt.”
Meanwhile, Karan shared a short video of Ranbir and Ranveer dancing to First Class. It was Karan who brought the two actors together last year, and shared a picture online that promptly went viral. Ranveer is married to Deepika, who used to date Ranbir.
All the videos were taken backstage at the recent Filmfare awards, where Ranbir won the best actor award for his performance in Sanju, Alia won for Raazi and Ranveer won for Padmaavat.
Deepika will next be seen in Raazi director Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, in which she plays an acid attack survivor. Her first look from the film was revealed on Monday.
Kalank is a period drama, and also stars Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Madhuri Dixit. The film is directed by Abhishek Varman and scheduled for an April 17 release.
