Shekhar Kapur signs Sobhita Dhulipala for his film?

Film-maker Shekhar Kapur has apparently signed former beauty queen Sobhita Dhulipala as the leading lady of his ambitious project, Paani, which is likely to go on the floors this December.

She made an impressive debut in Anurag Kashyap’s recent directorial venture. Now, we have learnt that former beauty queen Sobhita Dhulipala has been roped in for another film. It is believed that the newcomer will be seen in film-maker Shekhar Kapur’s ambitious project, Paani.

“Kapur was impressed with Sobhita’s performance in her debut film. He has wanted to revive his project, and has a new [production] team backing him now,” says a source.(Farrokh Chothia)

An insider says, “Kapur was impressed with Sobhita’s performance in her debut film. Sobhita and Kapur met a couple of times prior to the release of her movie. Kapur has wanted to revive his project for a while. He now has a new [production] team backing him for the same. ”

Sobhita may start shooting for the movie in December. The source adds, “The lead actor for the film is still being finalised. Sobhita and Kapur recently met up to finalise some more details about the movie.”

Previously, it was reported that Sushant Singh Rajput had been finalised for the film. However, that did not work out. We tried contacting Sobhita, but she remained unavailable for a comment.
