Their on-screen avatars are a far cry from their Instagram clicks. Meet the other side of our TV divas
The docile daughter-in-law, the chirpy wife, the ichchadhari naagin, the Haryanvi police inspector and even Goddess Parvati (well…their television avatars to be precise) are all in beach mode these days.
The pallu-covered sanskari bahu-betis of television are increasingly taking their bikini bodies out on holidays and scorching Instagram with super hawt pics.
Our favourite Naagin, Mouni Roy is known to be a style diva and totally slays the bikini look. Neha Marda, who played the quiet and conservative Rajasthani bahu Gehna in Balika Vadhu, looks every bit a cutie patootie in a bikini. A few months back Nia Sharma of Jamai Raja stunned us and the Dubai sun in a hot pink Victoria’s Secret bikini during a solo trip.
More recently, it was Rishina Kandhari of Diya Aur Baati Hum who shunned her crisp police uniform and slipped her toned body into a super sexy leopard print monokini.
However, the reel to real transition was not that smooth for Sonarika Bhadoria, who plays Parvati in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev.
When she donned a bikini early this year, although she looked every bit a goddess, she was trolled for ‘hurting religious sentiments’!
