Volvo launches refreshed XC60 Mild Hybrid in India at ₹71.90 lakh, featuring updated design, advanced safety, new infotainment, and a 250hp petrol engine.
Volvo Car India has launched the new XC60 Mild Hybrid at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹71.90 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). The updated version of the Volvo XC60 now features a host of design and technology upgrades. One of Volvo’s top-selling models in India, the refreshed XC60 aims to enhance driving and ownership experiences through advanced safety features, a more intuitive infotainment system, and a contemporary Scandinavian design.
Volvo XC60: Design & user experience
The XC60 features a more refined exterior, including a redesigned grille, Thor’s Hammer LED headlamps with active bending, and darkened rear taillights. New 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a fresh colour option, called “Forest Lake” and “Mulberry Red”. Other colour options include Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Bright Dusk, and Vapour Grey.
Inside, the cabin features genuine wood inlays, a tailored Charcoal dashboard with contrast stitching, and a new Blond interior theme that brings a brighter, more calming feel. A panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and smarter storage compartments further add to its practical luxury.

Volvo XC60: Technology & comfort
At the heart of the cabin is a new 11.2-inch central touchscreen, now running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. The Android-based infotainment system offers faster response times, improved graphics, and seamless over-the-air updates. The XC60 also features a 12.3-inch digital driver display, a head-up display, and an improved 360-degree camera system with split-screen view.
Volvo has retained its focus on in-cabin comfort with features like four-zone climate control and an advanced air purification system with a PM2.5 sensor. Passengers are treated to a premium Bowers & Wilkins 15-speaker setup delivering 1410 watts, including a ventilated subwoofer. The ventilated and heated front seats come with a massage function and are upholstered in premium Nappa leather.

Volvo XC60: Safety and driver assistance
In line with Volvo’s reputation for safety, the refreshed XC60 comes loaded with features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, Lane Keeping Aid, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert and Brake Support, and Collision Mitigation Support for both front and rear. Parking is made easier with a 360-degree camera system and sensors covering front, rear, and sides.
The vehicle also supports Google services with a five-year subscription and is connected via the Volvo Cars App, offering remote access and convenience features.

Volvo XC60: Powertrain and performance
Under the hood, the XC60 B5 Mild Hybrid continues with a 1969cc petrol engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The powertrain delivers 250 hp and 360 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive. This combination aims to offer a blend of performance and improved efficiency.
Commenting on the launch, Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director of Volvo Car India, said, “The XC60 has consistently been one of our most successful models globally, and in India, it has garnered immense customer appreciation.” In India, the Volvo XC60 will take on rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, the BMW X3 and the Lexus NX 300h.
