Mahindra XUV 7XO bookings open today; deliveries of top trims begin

Mahindra will open bookings for the XUV 7XO at 10 AM today, with deliveries of AX7, AX7T and AX7L variants starting.

Bookings for the Mahindra & Mahindra XUV 7XO open in India today at 10 AM. The SUV was recently launched at an introductory price starting at ₹13.6 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 40,000 customers. Along with the start of bookings, Mahindra has also begun deliveries of select variants to customers who had pre-booked the model.

Bookings open, select deliveries begin

Deliveries will initially be limited to higher variants. The AX7, AX7T and AX7L trims are being delivered first, starting January 14, 2026. Deliveries of the remaining variants are scheduled to begin in April 2026. The Mahindra XUV 7XO is offered in six variants overall: AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T and AX7L.

Mechanically, the XUV 7XO remains unchanged from the XUV700. It continues with the same engine options. The petrol variant uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 203 hp, while the diesel version is powered by a 2.2-litre unit delivering 185 hp. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The diesel automatic variant is available with an all-wheel-drive system.

Although the powertrain is carried over, Mahindra has made visible updates to the exterior and significant changes to the feature list. Exterior revisions are mainly concentrated at the front and rear, giving the SUV a refreshed appearance compared to the XUV700. Mahindra has positioned the XUV 7XO as a substantial update rather than a simple name change.

The biggest update is inside the cabin. The XUV 7XO now features a three-screen layout as standard across all variants. This includes a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch passenger display, all offered from the base variant.

Additional features added to the XUV 7XO include a new two-spoke steering wheel, a touch-based HVAC control panel, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a powered Boss Mode function for the front passenger seat. The SUV also gets a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, along with wireless phone charging.
