3 workers suffocate to death after lighting coal in Hisar factory

In a tragic incident, three workers from Uttar Pradesh died and two fell unconscious due to suffocation after burning coal in their room at a furniture factory in Hisar’s Dhandoor village on Monday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Anuj, Sahil and Amarjeet. Their age was not verified. Their two colleagues Shiva and Sanjay were rushed to a private hospital in Hisar, where they are undergoing treatment.

Hisar police spokesman Vikas Kumar said that the incident came to light when their colleague Ashutosh, who lives nearby, reached there and spotted their room closed.

“Through a window, he found all five unconscious. Sadar police team responded to the scene and found three dead and two others were sent to a hospital. The bodies were sent to the local civil hospital’s mortuary for post-mortem examination,” the spokesman added.
