4-year-old girl of migrant worker raped in Zirakpur
According to the police, the victim’s mother stated that the child, the youngest of her children, had gone to use a community washroom near their home in a local slum area around 6 am when the incident occurred
Police have launched a manhunt for an unidentified man who allegedly raped a four-year-old girl in Zirakpur on Tuesday morning. The girl’s parents are migrants and work as daily wage labourers in nearby areas.

According to the police, the victim’s mother stated that the child, the youngest of her children, had gone to use a community washroom near their home in a local slum area around 6 am when the incident occurred.
When she did not return, the family began searching for her. The mother said that after some time, she saw the girl returning from a nearby street crying and saw blood stains on her clothes. She then rushed the child to Dhakoli civil hospital for treatment.
Police have booked an unknown accused under Section 65(2) (rape on woman under twelve years of age) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police said they have launched a manhunt for the accused. Police are also examining CCTV footage and questioning local residents.
