Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday termed Navjot Singh Sidhu as a stuntman and said the government had ordered his release at 8 am. Sidhu has come out of jail after serving his sentence for killing an elderly person and not after fighting for freedom.
In a statement, party’s chief spokesperson Malwinder Singh Kang asked why the gimmicks of dhol nagade?
“Sidhu has always been a loquacious person and he will remain the same. An elderly person had lost his life because of him, rather than giving statements, he should introspect about that,” said Kang.
He said after serving the punishment for his crime, he should be little humble, but he has not changed. “By making personal remarks on the Chief Minister, he proved that he still hasn’t grabbed the reality that Punjabis elected Bhagwant Mann as the CM,” said Kang.
Kang reminded Sidhu that his government advertised 36,000 false jobs, took loans at high interest rates, and that people of Punjab were aware of everything. “Sidhu should avoid giving statements in his over excitement. The Mann government is working for the welfare of state residents,” he said.
Kang said due to bad weather, there has been a lot of damage to crops and the CM was working diligently to help farmers and provide them with compensation.
Party spokesperson Jagtar Singh Sanghera said Sidhu should compare the works done by the Mann government in one year with the works of previous governments.
