Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday arrested a drug peddler, who had been evading arrest for the last three years, officials said on Friday.
She has been identified as Tamana Ashraf of Batamaloo Srinagar. (File)
Police said that in an operation against drug peddlers, ANTF, Kashmir, achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting a hard-core lady drug peddler namely Tamana Ashraf of Batamaloo Srinagar booked in NDPS case registered at ANTF Jammu and was evading her arrest for last 3 years.
“The lady accused is involved in trafficking of more than 7 Kgs of Chars which was being sent to Mumbai through courier services,” police spokesman said, adding that the lady was evading arrest since the date of registration at different states across the country, however, due to continues efforts of ANTF J&K, she was apprehended from her residence at Batamaloo Srinagar on Thursday. “The relentless efforts of ANTF J&K and intelligence-led operation led to the successful apprehension, showcasing their commitment to curbing narcotics.
