After winning the toss, Aussie captain Lanning said, "Going to have a bat. It's a good wicket, will stay the same throughout the day. Going with the same team. Feel that we got all the bases covered. It's not something I've given a lot of thought (Australia's record). Leading the team into another final is super exciting. It's what happens today is important. Need to be ready for the challenge, and I have no doubt we are."

Meanwhile, SA skipper Luus said, "Would've had a bat as well. Don't think the surface will change too much. Same team. It's been unreal. With the quick turnaround, we haven't been able to enjoy too much. They will obviously come hard. We're just going to stay calm and do our basics. Luckily they will be behind us all the way (the crowd)."

Australia captain Lanning won the toss and opted to bat!

Brits has been a leading force for South Africa and is second in the run-scorer charts, with 176 from five innnings. She will be aiming to post a strong score today!

Australia are the most successful in this tournament with five titles. They are also en route to claim their third successive T20 WC trophy, having claimed the title in the last two editions!

Newlands has a good batting track, and is also good for spinners, who have gotten majority of the wickets in this tournament. It also gives decent help to pacers.

Meanwhile, South African captain Luus said, "That's a feeling you can't really put into words. It's something we never thought would happen in our country - people standing in queues to buy tickets for a women's cricket match. That's when you know women's sport is growing. I'm hoping that once this World Cup is finished and we play normal series and normal matches in South Africa the crowd won't be any different."

Ahead of the match, Aussie captain Lanning said, "We know we're probably not going to be the team that everyone's cheering for, but that's fine. It's going to be an incredible atmosphere and an incredible game at an amazing venue."

Australia have a clean head-to-head T20I record against South Africa, and lead 6-0, with all their fixtures happening in the T20 World Cup.
