Sandeep Sharma to Tristan Stubbs, 6 runs
SIX! GAME! SET! MATCH! Delhi Capitals have snatched this game from the jaws of Rajasthan Royals! Absolute scenes at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi! Sandeep digs it in, short and on the bodyline of the right-hander. Tristan Stubbs waits for the ball to arrive, and positions himself with a stable base, before bludgeoning the ball behind deep mid-wicket with a cracking pull shot! Fifth win for DC in six matches and they lift themselves up at the top of the ladder as the first team to register 10 points this season!
Sandeep Sharma to KL Rahul, 1 run
Executes the yorker on money, on off, KL Rahul can only shovel it out to the cover-point region for a single. 5 required off 3 now!
Sandeep Sharma to KL Rahul, 4 runs
FOUR! KLASS! Short and another predictable slower one from Sandeep, over the top of middle. KL Rahul gives himself some room and stays leg side, lofts it over backward point for a boundary. Calm mind of Rahul under extreme pressure.
Sandeep Sharma to KL Rahul, 2 runs
BUZZERS! A decent throw to the keeper would have sent KL Rahul back to the dugout! A slower bumper, into the pitch, outside off, KL Rahul drags his attempted pull shot to deep mid-wicket and calls for the second right away. The throw comes in wayward at the striker's end, and Jurel has to leap to collect the ball, which allows KL Rahul enough time to return for the second run.
Mitchell Starc to Shimron Hetmyer, 1 run
OUT! RUN OUT! What a superb fielding display from Delhi Capitals and equally silly errors from Rajasthan Royals while running between the wickets! Starc darts in a low full toss on the stumps, Shimron Hetmyer whips it across to deep mid-wicket. Jake Fraser-McGurk runs across to the right, collects it, and throws it flat to the bowler's end. A slight miscommunication from the batters, but eventually Jaiswal rushes for the second run. But this millisecond of an error allows Starc to do the rest. He collects it on the bounce and dislodges the bails with Yashasvi Jaiswal just short of his crease. Only a single will be counted then. So unfortunate for RR as they couldn't play all six balls in the Super Over, which might make a fair difference in the end.
Mitchell Starc to Riyan Parag, no run
OUT! RUN OUT! An absolute brainfade moment between the batters and Rajasthan Royals lose Riyan Parag! Starc stays around the stumps and spears it fuller, but down the leg stump line. Riyan Parag misses to flick and the ball grazes off his pad, before rolling back to the keeper. Shimron Hetmyer is more than halfway through for a run, but Riyan Parag is ball-watching instead of looking at his partner. Soon realises and puts the afterburners on to get to the other end. But he is too late by then as KL Rahul throws it to the bowler and Mitchell Starc breaks the stumps with Parag not even in the frame.
Mitchell Starc to Riyan Parag, 5 runs
FOUR! Nice execution of shot from Parag! Another full toss from Starc, outside off, from around the stumps, Riyan Parag opens the bat face and slices it over backward point for a boundary. Oh, goodness me! The siren echoes all over the stadium as Mitchell Starc seems to have cut the line from the back foot. Starc is not pleased one bit, but the zoomer shows his back foot just touched the return crease. NO BALL CALLED AND FREE HIT TO FOLLOW!
Mitchell Starc to Shimron Hetmyer, 1 run
A low full toss, with the stumps on attack, Shimron Hetmyer crouches and drills it down to long on for a single only.
Mitchell Starc to Shimron Hetmyer, 4 runs
FOUR! Misses his length slightly and gets punished! A fuller-length delivery, on middle, Shimron Hetmyer clears his front leg and smashes it through cow corner for a boundary. Not quite timed well, but that sheer power helps the ball race away.
Mitchell Starc to Shimron Hetmyer, no run
There is nothing wrong Mitchell Starc can do this evening! Follows the batter and nails in a perfect yorker, at the pads, with a hint of reverse. Shimron Hetmyer tries to whip across, but gets no bat at it. A good take from KL Rahul behind the stumps to his right.
