Looking at the competition amongst the seamers for a place in the playing XI, Ellis is making a strong case for himself through his batting display.

OUT! TAKEN!  Goes a bit fuller this time with pace on, around off, Matthew Wade sits down for a slog sweep but flatly hits it straight into the hands of the West Indian skipper Rovman Powell who pouches it safely at deep mid-wicket.

Slows it up this time as compared to the previous over and bowls it on a good length, on middle and leg, Tim David clears his front leg and gets down to nail the slog sweep. He fails to get the height or the distance and it goes only as far as deep mid-wicket where Shimron Hetmyer runs to his right and takes a safe catch near his waist.

And again! This is on a shortish length again, on off, the ball comes on slower than Josh Inglis anticipated. Inglis attempts the pull but does not connect.

Ouch, Josh Inglis has copped a blow on the elbow. McCoy bangs it on a back of a length, over middle, Josh Inglis takes his eyes off the ball as he goes for the pull. The ball climbs onto him and hits him on the right elbow and it rolls in front of point.

OUT! TAKEN! Obed McCoy has totally outfoxed Agar and Australia lose their third wicket with a long tail exposed. Bowls it with pace-off on a fuller length, just around off, Ashton Agar is quite early on his shot, has to fetch it from outside off, and gets it off the toe-end of the bat up in the air and straight into Alzarri Joseph's hands at mid on. A good cameo from Agar comes to an end.

SIX! Streaky but will do for Agar! Pace on, short and outside off, Ashton Agar goes for an expansive shot over the off side, but slices it up in the air, well over the deep third for a maximum.

SIX! THAT'S OUTTA HERE! 50 up for Australia in no time at all. Alzarri Joseph bangs it hard into the pitch, short and angling on the bodyline, Josh Inglis gets in position quickly and pulls it with the middle of the bat, gets it to sail over the deep backward square leg fence for another half a dozen.
