India vs England Highlights, 2nd ODI: England beat India by six wickets to level series 1-1

Well, like the T20Is, the ODI leg also moves to the series decider on Sunday. India 1, England 1. The winner takes it all in the final. If India can secure the win, they will complete a trifecta of wins over England on this tour. Expect Sunday to offer another cracker. Till then, take care all.

Delighted with the response of the guys. I thought we put in a very good bowling performance as well to restrict India to that total. Look at how well they played in the last 10 overs, so I thought the guys in the middle overs did well to restrict them. And then the guys came out and played fantastically well, the intent and partnerships from the start made it a brilliant chase. The openers have been a pillar of our strength for a long period of time. Delighted for Jonny and that partnership with Ben Stokes was brilliant to watch, as a fellow player and a fan. Some of the strokes they played and the commitment to play that way. Some people talked about our way and if we need to be smarter - of course we want to play smart cricket but it's important to commit to our style of play when the conditions suit. Moeen and Adil bowled well in tandem, great friends and they enjoy bowling together."

It could have been easy to rein ourselves in after the last game but from a personal and team point of view, it was important to play as we do. We speak about match ups in our changing room and my match-up was with the spinners to take the risk, just let Jonny keep going on with his business. He's in unbelievable form. The amount of runs they (Roy and Bairstow) have scored is obviously amazing, but if you look at the way they have scored it's even better .best in the world in my opinion. Some spirit this from the India pacer. England need just 7 more to win but there has been no drop in pace from Prasidh Krishna, who continues to dart them in at 140 or near about.

The right way to go about it. Just 16 needed with 53 balls remaining. Those three wickets may have slowed things down a bit, but England pretty much on course for 1-1.

And the bowler he is targeting is none other than India's best of the night, Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The first six was smoked down the ground while the next ball was pulled for a huge hit. England move to 315/4, need another 22 off 63 balls.

Hang on! Catch a breath. Now it's Buttler. Three wickets in nine balls for India. England 287/4. Drama all around. Can India have a surprise to inflict on England here? With 43 needed off 73, this is still England's game, but you've got to believe that there isn't much experience in this batting line-up.

OUT! Ben Stokes is gone for 99. Bhuvneshwar Kumar gets the wicket. Oh dear! If anyone deserved to get a century tonight, it was him. He has changed the complexion of this game completely. Goes for the pull but gloves a short ball from Bhuvneshwar to Rishabh Pant. But like we said, not before he turned the tables for England, putting them on course of a series-levelling win. 15 runs have come off the last over, which believe it or not, is India's best in the last three. My goodness! This is definite carnage by two of England's finest limited-over batsmen. England need just 52 off 89 balls.

28 runs off the over. Three sixes and a four in that over which takes Ben Stokes into the 90s. He is 95 off just 50 balls. Incredible stuff by these two. They look set to chase it down inside 40 overs for all we know. England 266/1 after 34 overs, need another 71 off 95 balls.

Virat Kohli turns back to Ben Stokes and the result is a SIX, WIDE and a FOUR off the first two balls of the over. This is tremendous hitting. The Indians appear shell-shocked. Krunal is trying everything, the quicker ones, the short quicker ones, the fuller ball bowled at 110 kmph. But nothing seems to be working for them.

An over to forget for Kuldeep as Stokes carts him for three straight sixes. The shoulders have dropped and there are plenty of meetings taking place between members of the Indian team and their captain. For the first time, England's asking rate has come down under six an over, chasing 337. Imagine the carnage that has taken place in the last 10-12 overs. England 238/1 after 33 overs.

Ben Stokes creams runs a single to get to fifty, off 40 balls. Didn't realise for a moment there. Finally raises his bat and his teammates in the dugout acknowledge. Bairstow cracks a four in the over off Shardul to take the total to 218/1 in 32 overs.

Expensive over for India. 17 runs off it. Stokes joins Bairstow in clubbing a six and then a four to get England to 211/1 in 31 overs. Kuldeep has given away 57 runs in eight overs and this is some heavy striking by England. It's raining fours and sixes and the match is quickly slipping out of India's grasp.

Century for Jonny Bairstow, off 95 balls as England march on in chase. Gets there with a six, which also brings up the 200 for England. A big grunt from Kuldeep but the ball connects the middle of the bat.

He's hit three sixes but here Stokes scores his first four of the innings. Comes down the wicket and slashes Thakur for a four over and wide of the keeper. Once again, a boundary off the first ball of the over for England.

After three dot balls, Bairstow has clubbed Kuldeep for his fifth six of the innings. A mighty hit, '23 rows back' as Graeme Swann says on commentary. For the second time in two matches, Bairstow is in the 90s. He's on 94, his score in the previous ODI. England 188/1, need 149 runs from 21 overs.

Bairstow thumps Bhuvneshwar Kumar down the ground for a four first ball off the over, but the India quick returns strong with four dot balls and a single to finish. Five from it. England 180/1 after 28 overs.

Frustrating stuff this from Kuldeep. Short ball outside leg and that is break and butter for even a No. 8 batsman, let alone a set Bairstow. England get that early boundary once again but Kuldeep has to do a lot better than that. The asking rate has climbed to over 7 and over, but the scoring rate isn't too behind. England 175/1 after 27.

Comes back for his second spell and starts off brilliantly. Just three runs off the over, a single and a couple of runs. The game has reached a stage where one good over from India is sure to out pressure on England. But where will the remaining tidy overs come from?

A brilliant direct hit by Kuldeep Yadav from the deep, almost sees the back of Ben Stokes. As he casually returned for the second run, not showing much belief in Kuldeep's arm, Stokes has to really push it towards the end. The replay showed it was closer than usual, with some part of Stokes' bat barely crossed the crease. It was a matter of one frame. Stokes survives. England 170/1 after 26 overs.

Just three runs in the over and the pressure of a good over is out there for everyone to see as Stokes tries to attempt a ramp shot but misses. England 167/1 after 25 overs. Indian fans must be wondering where Hardik Pandya is. Well, he was just seen in an animated chat with captain Virat Kohli, who instead brings Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the attack, perhaps keeping Hardik for a later stage.
