India vs Sri Lanka Highlights, Asia Cup 2023 Final: Mohammed Siraj brought Sri Lanka down to their knees in just the first six overs of the match by picking a five-wicket haul in that period. Jasprit Bumrah started off with a wicket off the third ball and then Siraj just blew the top off the opposition's batting lineup by taking four wickets in the fourth over alone. He then came back and dismissed Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka, thus completing his five-wicket haul in just his second over. Sri Lanka were thus left reeling at 12/6 in 5.4 overs at that point. The nightmare continued for the home side and Siraj went on record figures of 6/21, the best by any bowler in an ODI against Sri Lanka. Hardik Pandya got three wickets, wiping off the Sri Lankan innings with two back to back wickets in the first two balls of the 16th over. Sri Lanka were all out 50, their second lowest score ever in ODIs. India opened with Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill and then pair put on 32 runs in just three overs. They soldiered on and chased down the total in the seventh over and India thus won the final with 10 wickets and 263 balls to spare.

India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: GONE! BUMRAH THIRD BALL!
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Edged and gone! Bumrah found some swing with the first ball itself, beat Perera's outside edge with the second and then induced that edge with the third. Perera looking to drive but the swing took it away from him, very good catch from Rahul diving to his left.

India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Dravid on the final and injury worries
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: "We just need to play good cricket. They are a good team playing in their home conditions. They know these conditions really well. We have got the skills and abilities, just about executing them.
“Worry is a strong word but I think all of us are in similar position. When you are this close to a big tournament you can lose big players to injuries. There are sometimes you just try to manage situations a little bit. We have this final to look forward to and then three games agianst Austrtalia. It is a funny situation, some guys need cricket and some guys need to be managed. It is part of the job. Hopefully we can get to that World Cup with a good result today and a full squad.”
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Rahul Dravid on the tournament and the last win against Sri Lanka
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Rahul Dravid spoke with the host broadcaster. Here is what he said.
"It has been good. Today is a big day, if we can get a good result, it would be a pretty good campaign. Was a little bit worried about the weather early on and if we would get enough cricket but the way it has gone, we got pretty decent wickets. Just keeping fingers crossed for good weather and good cricket today. Hopefully we will fall on the right side of the result.
“Our effort against Sri Lanka was even better (than against Pakistan). Sometimes you can play the perfect game and win them but to not be at your best and still be able to fight out a win, everybody contributing. That is the kind of performance that gives you more satisfaction as a coach.”
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: What Rohit Sharma said
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: “Would have batted first too, looks like a dry pitch. We are confident of chasing down whatever Sri Lanka put on the board. This is a good chance to go aggressive with the ball and see what the surface has to offer. We came really close last game, anything about 240 on this surface is good. Our job today is to do well with the ball, and then see what we can do with the bat. The crowd have been brilliant, good support for both teams but probably a bit more for Sri Lanka. Hopefully, they get to witness a good final. Everyone's back after the rest in the last game, Axar is injured so Washington Sundar comes in for him.”
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Dasun Shanaka's thoughts
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: “We'll bat first. Seems like a good wicket, there will be some turn in the afternoon. Last year, we weren't able to get these crowds but this time we are really fortunate. I'm very pleased with the youngsters - Wellalage, Pathirana, Samarawickrama. It is a good team and the results are there, this is a good boost for the WC. One change for us - Theekshana out, Dushan Hemantha in.”

They had put up an opening stand of 80 runs in just 11 overs. And then, Wellalage came in and started turning the game around with his first delivery itself. India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Virat Kohli at the R Premadasa
India vs Sri Lanka Live Score: Kohli had become just the second player after South Africa great Hashim Amla to score four consecutive centuries at the same venue when he hit an unbeaten 122 against Pakistan in 94 balls. Then, his run was broken by the marauding Wellalage in the las match between these two sides, as he fell for three. Interestingly, that century is the only prominent score Kohli has managed in this tournament, not because of poor form but rather because he has hardly batted. He was out for four runs in India's first match against Pakistan, then didn't get to bat as the openers did the job against Nepal, scored the century against Pakistan and then fell for three against Sri Lanka before being rested against Bangladesh. His stats at the stadium remain mind boggling - 644 runs in 10 matches at an average of 107.33 and strike rate of 98.47 with four centuries and one half century.
