IPL 2019, CSK vs RCB: Chennai Super Kings’ Predicted XI
IPL 2019: Here’s the Chennai Super Kings’ Predicted XI for their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Royal Challengers Bangalore take on Chennai Super Kings in the opening match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 in Chennai on Saturday. While CSK are a three-time champion,RCB are probably the biggest underachiever despite boasting of some of the best names in its squad.

Shane Watson has been in booming form in the Big Bash League, Dwayne Bravo always gets the job done and the Indian stars in Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and Kedar Jadhav have been there and done that.
Here’s the Chennai Super Kings’ Predicted XI for their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore -
Ambati Rayudu
Ambati Rayudu had a brilliant run of form in last year’s Indian Premier League and with the World Cup just around the corner, a good performance for Rayudu will guarantee the No. 4 spot for the veteran.

Shane Watson
The other part of the CSK opening pair has been charismatic for his team in the past and his innings in last year’s final clinched the title. While he has stopped contributing with the ball, his experience will be as valuable his batting.
Suresh Raina
Raina has been the most successful batsman in the history of IPL with 4985 runs to his name and this year, CSK will once again be expecting a good show from the player who has spent nine seasons with the franchise.
Kedar Jadhav
The all-rounder was quite impressive in the recently concluded series against Australia and with his unorthodox action, he has developed a knack of taking wickets at important situations.
MS Dhoni
Obvious choice!
Ravindra Jadeja
The list of impressive all-rounders continues as Jadeja has proven his worth a number of times in the recent past. He is a utility player in the CSK team and a good bowling option in the middle overs.
Dwayne Bravo
Another all-rounder and another big name! When it comes to T20 leagues, Bravo has been a mainstay in almost all of them and it is his experience that will be an asset to CSK as they look to retain their title.

David Willey
With Lungi Ngidi ruled out due to injury, David Willey is the most recognised foreign pacer in the team and he will have to take a lot of responsibility along with his Indian counterparts.
Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar was one of the surprise packages of the season in IPL 2018 and his performance earned him a spot in India’s ODI and T20I teams. Another good season can turn things around for him once again.
Imran Tahir
Tahir has featured in five IPL seasons, picking 53 wickets at a bowling average of 22.26. With the spinner retiring from One-day Internationals (ODIs) after the World Cup 2019, he will be looking to add more accolades to his name.
Shardul Thakur
Shardul Thakur has been a consistent performer for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy and if he can maintain his brilliant run in IPL, the fast bowler will turn out to be a trump card for his franchise.
