Varun Chakravarthy - Kudos to the whole bowling unit, it was a very disciplined bowling performance. I'm happy to do whatever the coach and the captain want me to do, be it bowling the first over or come back later. We did work a lot even during the last phase, credit goes to the team management. The plan was to attack the stumps, the ball was doing a bit initially, now it has flattened, so we just stuck to our plans

AB de Villiers speaks
AB de Villiers: The humidity is right up there. The sun is about to set, that helps a lot. Gets someone like me excited. I am super excited just to join the guys, with Virat's 200th game today, we are looking forward to get there on the park. We have a nice feel for each other, the top five really enjoy batting together. We've got Dev (Devdutt Padikkal) there as well, very talented youngster and coming through the ranks. I think there's more than enough talent. It's a matter of getting out there and getting the job done and getting some runs on the board. I wouldn't say I didn't do anything. No competitive cricket, no international cricket, you get to a certain age or stage in your career where it becomes a lot more mental and there's hard work behind closed doors which no one knows of. Some gym work, some treadmill work, it's fun to get ready for a tournament like this. You can't just arrive here not doing anything, you got to be 100% ready and try and be as good as you can.

Eoin Morgan speaks at toss
KKR captain Eoin Morgan - Looks really good, it should stay pretty similar for the entire length of the game. Hoping that the performances will change in this phase of the tournament. It's been challenging, but we are happy to be back here.
Virat Kohli speaks at toss
"Grass covering is to hold the surface together. We think it is going to slow down as the game progresses. More special than the 200th game is this uniform: we promised that we would be playing for the Covid warriors, with these jerseys being auctioned for people."
He also confirmed two debutants for RCB: KS Bharat and Hasaranga

Weather and Pitch Report
“It is very very hot, around 40 degrees. Lovely lush green grass at the outfield. There is a little bit of grass, it's even - so, it will have a tennis ball bounce, little bit of movement and will assist the pacers for a while. The average score batting first is 165. There is a lot of wind coming from one side of the ground.”
– Nick Knight and Matthew Hayden on broadcasting show
Andre Russell speaks on Hotstar
KKR's Andre Russell: "We need to win games for sure, but we're not stressing ourselves, taking it one game at a time. Once we keep going through each hurdle, we will think about the other one. There is pressure, but you can't put too much on yourself. You can do whatever is in my control, be it with the bat, ball or the field. I just want to contribute to the team. Definitely, I would want to contribute (even if I miss out with either bat or ball), sometimes you will have good games with both bat and ball, but that doesn't happen everyday. It's very hot and humid. We're trying to get accustomed to the heat, we did have some day games in the Caribbean (Premier League), but it wasn't as hot as it is here."
Pitch Reporting also upcoming!
