Virender Sehwag’s Dabangg compliment to MS Dhoni after Chennai Super Kings’ epic run chase
MS Dhoni’s 34-ball 70 that helped Chennai Super Kings pull off an unlikely victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore once again left Twitter in awe of his finishing prowess.
MS Dhoni on Wednesday night once again proved why he is regarded as one of the best finishers the game of cricket has ever seen. (MATCH REPORT)
His 34-ball 70 helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pull off a thrilling five-wicket win over Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) in a high-scoring IPL 2018 game at Bengaluru on Wednesday. (HIGHLIGHTS) (FULL SCORECARD)
Chasing a mammoth 206 against RCB, CSK had their backs to the wall when they lost their fourth wicket for 74 runs in the ninth over.
However, ‘Captain Cool’ came to the rescue once again and in the company of Ambati Rayudu, who slammed an equally impressive 82 off 53 balls, added 101 runs in the next nine overs to turn the match on its head.
CSK still required 31 runs off 13 balls after Rayudu’s departure, but Dhoni and Bravo made the chase look easy, taking their team home with two balls to spare.

As has happened on previous occasions, most notably the 2011 Cricket World Cup final, the winning six came off the Ranchi-born cricketer’s bat.
As soon as Dhoni finished the game in style, Twitter went abuzz with fans and former cricketers taking to micro blogging site to hail the former Indian captain.
Leading the tributes for Dhoni was his current Kings XI Punjab mentor Virender Sehwag who used a famous dialogue from Salman Khan’s Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg to praise the CSK skipper.
