Posters opposing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s anti-corruption drive were seen at bus stops across the national capital.
The posters were pasted after the Delhi government put up a series of posters that claimed authorities had arrested 35 officers on graft charges.
The message in the poster, which claimed to be from “a common man from Delhi”, read: “Mr. Liar...Name the officers that have been arrested.”
According to reports, Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said the Delhi government was not serious about curbing corruption. The working of the ruling party’s ministers and legislators was suggestive of their inclination to get a share of the corruption, he said.
The AAP government led by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has made tackling corruption one of its key priorities.
