Board secretary Srinivas C Triwari said, this year, the publication of results got delayed due to the long strike by fixed-pay teachers across the state last month, which affected evaluation work.
Around 14.26 lakh students appeared at the matriculation examination. The board had set up 94 evaluation centres across the state.
“Normally, matriculation results are published in June first week, but this year the strike delayed it. We, however, did our best to speed up things by roping in additional teachers for the evaluation work,” said Tiwari.
