JEE Mains Result 2026 Live: The JEE Mains provisional answer key was released on February 4, 2026. The link to raise objections was closed on February 6, 2026.

JEE Mains Result 2026 Live: The Paper I exam was held on January 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28, 2026, in two shifts- first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. Paper 2 was held on the last date in a single shift- from 9 am to 12.30 pm.

Evaluation of multiple-choice questions for Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be carried out using final answer keys and the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered for computation of the result of JEE (Main) – 2026. In Paper 2(A), the marks obtained by the candidates after digital evaluation of Drawing Test will be added to the total marks. For multi-shift papers, raw (actual) marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score.

JEE Mains Result 2026 Live: Percentile Scores: Percentile scores are scores based on the Shift-wise relative performance of all those who appear for the examination. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each Shift of examinees.

The Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW (same or lower raw scores) that particular Candidate in that Shift. Therefore the topper (highest score) of each Shift will get the same Percentile of 100 which is desirable. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate Percentiles.

JEE Mains Result 2026 Live: In 2025, Rajasthan had the highest number of toppers. A total of 7 toppers were in the list from the state followed by Maharashtra, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh (three each), West Bengal, Gujarat and Delhi (two each), and one each from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

JEE Mains Result 2026 Live: Reservation of seats

1. General category belonging to Economically Weaker Section (GEN- EWS) – 10% of seats in every course. The benefit of reservation will be given only to those General category candidates who satisfy the conditions given in the OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II dated 17 January 2019, issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The criteria for GEN-EWS will be as per the prevailing norms and/or notifications of the Government of India.

2. Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC- NCL) – 27% of seats in every course.

a) OBCs should be listed in the current updated central list of OBCs (http://www.ncbc.ac.in).

b) OBCs present in the State list but not covered in the central list of OBCs (as per the list in http://www.ncbc.ac.in) are NOT eligible to claim the reservation.

c) The criteria for OBC-NCL will be as per the notification of the Government of India.

d) Candidates belonging to the creamy layer of OBC are NOT entitled to reservation. Such candidates are treated as belonging to the General (GEN), i.e. Unreserved Category, and they will be eligible only for the OPEN seats – the seats for which all candidates are eligible.

3. Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15% of seats in every course.

4. Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5% of seats in every course.

5. Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) – 5% seats in each of the GENERAL, GEN-EWS, OBC- NCL, SC and ST category seats.

JEE Mains Result 2026 Live: There will be negative marking for Section B. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:

1. Correct Answer: Four marks (+4)

2. Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)

3. Unanswered/Marked for Review (without filling any Numerical value): No mark (0).

4. If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks (+4) will be

awarded to all Candidates who appeared for that particular shift.

5. Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions.

The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.
