West Bengal Election: Khandaghosh Assembly Constituency 2022

Khandaghosh comes under the Barddhaman district and it is one of the 294 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Khandaghosh voted for West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 on April 17 and the result was declared on May 2.

Khandaghosh assembly constituency had 2,20,371 electors in 2016, out of which 1,13,279 were male voters and 1,07,090 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 1.2% votes.

Khandaghosh was one of 211 seats won by the Communist Party Of India (Marxist). It was a close contest with All India Trinamool Congress's Nabin Chandra Bag winning the election upstaging Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Asima Roy by a margin of just 3,202 votes.

The top two candidates split 91.4% of votes between them. All India Trinamool Congress's Nabin Chandra Bag got a total of 90,151 votes, while Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Asima Roy secured 86,949 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Ashoke Santra secured 13,973 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 46.5%, 44.9% and 7.2% respectively.

In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Nabin Chandra Bag outperformed All India Trinamool Congress's Alok Kumar Majhi by 13,147 votes.
