Reportedly, Kashyap will now have to return to Mumbai by September 3, leaving the shoot of his upcoming film Bombay Velvet midway in Sri Lanka.

Apparently, a team from the Service Tax Department carried out an investigation at the filmmaker's Yari road office in Mumbai in August and later charged him guilty for service tax evasion of Rs 55 lakh.

The director-producer was then asked to appear before the Service Tax Department on August 22, but he failed to do so and instead, sent his representatives to deal with the matter. Hence, his accounts were sealed and now Anurag has requested for some time till September 3.

Deputy Commissioner of Service Tax Department, Sameer Wankhede also revealed that a case has been booked against Anurag and they are investigating further into this matter.

With the ongoing legal tangle, Anurag's film Bombay Velvet might also face a setback.
