Amitabh Bachchan calls his family ‘mini India’ on KBC: Daughter married in Punjab, son married in South

Amitabh Bachchan talked about his family and revealed how they have people from across the country. He touched on Abhishek and Shweta's spouses.

Amitabh Bachchan kickstarted the Family Special Week on his show, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15. In the latest episode, he interacted with contestants Chamatkari Chattopadhyay, Dhrubarub, Sunirmala and Nandita. During the show, Amitabh Bachchan opened up about his family and said he becomes a sandwich at home with his family members.

It happened when Chattopadhyays talked about being stuck between his mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Amitabh said, "I can completely understand, even I become a sandwich at home with everyone. However, what I like the most is the fact that my family is so diverse. My daughter (Shweta Bachchan) married someone in Punjab and my son (Abhishek Bachchan) in the south. We have people from all across the country, it’s like a mini India and we love it.”

For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan's son Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot with actor Aishwarya Rai in 2007. They have a daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. On the other hand, Amitabh's daughter Shweta Bachchan married businessman Nikhil Nanda in 1997. Nikhil is also the son of industrialist Rajan Nanda and his wife Ritu Nanda who is the daughter of Raj Kapoor.

Shweta and Nikhil have two kids--Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda. While Navya won't be entering the film industry, Agastya is all set to mark his debut in Bollywood with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies. Amitabh often talks about his family on the show.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 airs from Monday to Friday on Sony TV at 9 pm. It also streams on the SonyLIV app. Amitabh has been hosting the show for years now. This season has undergone some changes, such as the addition of the Super Sandook round which now enables the contestant to recover their losses during the game. Apart from this, a new life line called Double Dip has been added. Yet another element, Desh Ka Sawal, is also a part of the game to ensure public participation as well.
