Hours after several rumours said that Dharmendra was hospitalised, the veteran actor shared a video message for his fans and followers. Taking to Instagram, Dharmendra assured everyone that he is doing well. The actor also sang a song from his movie Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke (1969) for his fans and asked them to not listen to rumours. In his message, Dharmendra said, "Hello friends, be positive, think positive, life will be positive. Main chup hoon, bimaar nahi (I'm keeping quiet, I'm not unwell). Anyway, kuch na kuch baat chalti rehti hai, hawa udti rehti hai (rumours keep taking place). Woh tha na mera gaana (This song of mine), 'Bura Mat Suno Bura Mat Dekho Bura Mat Kaho'. Take care, love each other, be good to each other. Okay? Life will be beautiful." The song was sung by Mohammed Rafi in the film.

Dharmendra ended the clip with a kiss to his fans and followers. In the video, the actor sat on a beige couch seemingly at his home. The actor was dressed in a yellow T-shirt, maroon shirt, blue pants and a bowl hat. He captioned the post, "Friends, with love to you all."

Reacting to the clip, a fan wrote, "Love you too sir stay blessed and stay strong." Another person said, "Thankuuuu Sir For the Inspiration Sir Ji !!!!! V r Positive !!!!! Sir Because of You !! Positive energy is a gift of Malik !! You are a solid human being !!!!!" "Love you, sir, Always stay happy, healthy and blessed," said another fan.

Earlier, actors and brothers Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol had reacted to the speculations regarding the health of their father. "My dad is absolutely great and in the best of health. He is doing well," Sunny Deol told news agency PTI. Bobby told India Today, "He is absolutely fine. He is at home and he is recovering. He is doing well. Thank you so much for your love and affection." He also told PTI that it's "sad that people spread rumours".

Dharmendra, 86, was hospitalised last month for back pain. Later on Instagram, the veteran actor in a video said that his hospitalisation was due to a muscle pull. Sharing the video he captioned it, “Friends, don’t overdo things …know your limits, I did it and learned my lesson."

In his career, the actor has starred in classics such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Satyakam and Seeta Aur Geeta among many other films. Dharmendra will next be seen in Karan Johar-directed Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film will also star Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
