Neetu Kapoor feels Raj Kapoor, Krishna Kapoor are blessing Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor after pregnancy announcement

Neetu Kapoor shared her late in-laws Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor's picture on her Instagram handle. Sharing it she wrote, ‘Their blessings’.

Alia Bhatt tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 and on Monday, she announced that the couple is expecting their first child. Ranbir's mother, veteran actor Neetu Kapoor on Tuesday shared a monochrome photo of her late in-laws, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor, on Instagram and captioned it, ‘Their blessings’.

In the picture, a smiling Krishna and Raj are seen posing for the camera. Ranbir's sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni dropped a heart emoji in the comments section of the post. One fan commented, “They are looking after you guys from heaven.” Another one said, “We miss them.” Congratulating Neetu one wrote, “God bless to both of you RanAlia and many Many congratulations Neetu ji." While one wrote, “A beautiful legacy,” many others sent best wishes for Alia and Ranbir.

On Monday, Alia announced her pregnancy on Instagram, by sharing picture of herself and Ranbir from their sonography session. She captioned it “Our baby ….. coming soon.” In the photo, a happy Alia is seen looking at the sonography monitor.

Alia and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in April, after dating each other for almost 5 years. Ranbir is the grandson of late actor Raj Kapoor, who was one of the most celebrated actors and filmmakers of the industry. He married Krishna Kapoor in 1946. They had five children -- Randhir Kapoor, Ritu Nanda, Rishi Kapoor, Rima Jain and Rajiv Kapoor. Rishi, Ritu and Rajiv are no more.

Raj Kapoor's first on-screen appearance was at the age of nine. He featured in the 1935 film Inquilab. His major break in the industry in a lead role was in the film Neel Kamal (1947) opposite Madhubala. In 1948, he established his own studio -- RK Films.
