The football field was the perfect place for fans to get a glimpse of stars at the Super Bowl in Texas, US, as there were plenty of famous faces watching the game. Celebrities streamed into Cowboys Stadium to watch the match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. Actors Hugh Jackman, John Travolta, Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Micheal Douglas, Ashton Kutcher, Owen Wilson and Jamie Foxx were among the high profile attendees.

Former President George W Bush and former first lady Laura Bush, also made a rare appearance.

As the game began, New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and actor Cameron Diaz were also flashed onto the screen. Sports Illustrated model Brooklyn Decker, who is married to tennis star Andy Roddick, said she was excited to be there. “I’m a big football fan,” beamed Decker.

However, the much-anticipated Super Bowl stage act by the usually quirky band Black Eyed Peas was surprisingly stale and predictable. The band’s famous fusion of pop, dance and hip-hop have made them global superstars. But the group appeared to be as stiff as frontman Will.i.am’s plastic hair hat.
