DID Lil Masters promo: Mouni Roy gets teary-eyed at the story of vegetable seller's son whose friends tease him for it
The new DID Lil Masters promo shows Sonali Bendre and Mouni Roy getting emotional on watching a kid's dance performance and listening to his story.
Actors Mouni Roy and Sonali Bendre are among the judges on the new season of the dance reality show DID Lil Masters. The two recently got emotional on watching a dance performance by a kid who broke down while talking to them on stage. As the kid shared how his family struggled to make ends meet during lockdown, Mouni got teary-eyed while Sonali was surprised to learn how kids supress their feelings while observing everything around them. Mouni shared the new promo on Instagram and captioned it, “Dance ek zariya hai apne jazbaaton ko bayaan karne ka, aur #AnandKumar ka yeh performance unki zindagi ke baare mein bahut kuch keh gaya. (Dance is a medium to express one's feelings and this performance by Anand Kumar tells a lot about life).”
The video opens with a glimpse of Anand Kumar's father selling vegetables on a cart. He is seen talking about how his work suffered due to lockdown. Talking about his father, Anand breaks down while sharing how the kids tease him saying, “Tere papa sabji bechte hain (your father is a vegetables vendor)." Watching him on stage, Mouni is seen fighting back her tears and Sonali telling her fellow judges in surprise, “Ye jo cheezein hoti hain, bachche apne kitna andar rakhte hain (when these things happen, kids hide their emotions).”
A fan commented to the video, "Wow, these guys are real fighters and fight to survive." Many others showered it with heart icons.
Choreographer Remo D'Souza is also among the three judges on the show. He too was impressed with the kid's dance performance.
DID Lil Masters marks Mouni's return to television after five years. She was last seen in Naagin 2. The show is Sonali's first project after her cancer recovery. She was one of the judges on kids reality show India's Best Dramebaaz six years ago.
