Darsheel is busy running these Diwali holidays…. yeah, that's what his role requires in the next Priyadarshan film Bum Bum Bole.. He has just completed his shoot with Dabbo Ratnani and is busy shooting for the film in Ooty.

The wonder kid of Taare Zamen Par- Darsheel Safary is all excited, as the film has gone to Oscars as an Indian entry and for the festival of lights- Diwali, which he plans to celebrate with family.

Tell something about your upcoming film Bum Bum Bole and your character?
I can't talk much about the film at this moment.

Tell me about one major prank that you played on the sets of Bum Bum Bole?
The shooting schedule is very hectic, not much time to play pranks, I usually play my handheld video games like PSP, SP and other action games, but still I find some time for small pranks. Like there is this kid actress on the sets, and we are fighting with each other all the time.

Once I hid some of her clothes, which she was supposed to wear for the shoot, she had a tough time finding them, and could not get ready as she was searching for them everywhere… Finally when the unit members started to get worked up, I decided to reveal the hiding place of her clothes.... but not before my demand for my favourite chocolate was agreed to post which I showed them the place where I hid the clothes.

How does it feel that your first film has gone as a entry for Oscars?
Ohh, it feels extremely good and very unbelievable at the same time. I was very excited when Aamir uncle called to say that TZP has been shortlisted. However, I am nervous also and hope it gets through to the top five. And that the film has the same impact on the world that it had in India.

You seem to be very stylish, what is your style statement?
My style statement is 'smart clothing'. Clothes are important because people notice what I wear. I have seen some children of my age wearing similar clothes because I wear them. I hate itchy clothes.I dont like to wear gaudy , fancy-dress type clothes which usually kids my age are subjected to.

What would you like to become, when you grow up?
I want to be like Hrithik uncle, when I grow up. I want to play the Hrithik uncle's role in Dhoom 2. I love action films; Matrix and Transformers are my favourite.

Being a big name now, how do you handle the attention that you get from girls?
Though my parents are happy about my success and popularity, but they always see to it that none of this goes to my head. They keep telling me to be just Darsheel and not the actor or star. Mom also insists I eat proper food during mealtimes.

Your future projects?
Don't know. Dad knows all that. He asks me if I want to do a particular film. If I like it, then he talks and figures how I can manage without disturbing my studies and all... so he will be the best person to ask.

What will you be doing on Diwali? What are your plans?
As always... I will celebrate Diwali with lots of good yummy food and my family. I like crackers, but they cause a lot of pollution, so I avoid too much of it. But for religious festivities sake, I light an 'anar' or something.
