'We had sexual rituals that were so....', Kelly Ripa recalls how she managed relationship with Mark over Facetime

Kelly Ripa shared some insights into how she and her actor husband, Mark Consuelos, stayed connected during the pandemic when Consuelos was filming on location and they were separated. Ripa revealed that they had to rely on virtual communication, including video calls to maintain their long-distance relationship. She mentioned that they even had ‘sexual virtual’ sessions over video calls to keep things interesting. During a podcast, Ripa also shared that she made sure to present her most flattering side during their Facetime sessions, which helped to keep the romance alive despite the distance. Although it was a challenging time for the couple, they were able to make it work by staying connected in any way possible.

On the debut episode of Kelly Ripa's SiriusXM podcast Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, the couple, Kelly and Mark, shared insights into their successful relationship with their marriage counselor, Dr. Linda Carter. The discussion revolved around how they were able to maintain their bond despite being apart for an extended period while Marks was busy while shooting during unpresented situation created by pandemic.

She gave an account on the usual ritual they followed, and said, “There were rituals. Can I tell you something? We had sexual rituals that were so ludicrous over FaceTime. ” She continued further, and said, "I became so alarmed at my appearance over FaceTime that I started rigging the computer to hang from a ladder. I'm not kidding. I hung the computer over a ladder so that I could look up to Mark and he did not have to see what gravity was actually doing [to me].You get really close to yourself in situations where you're separated from your husband for long periods of time."

Ripa started her career as a dancer and made her acting debut in the TV series Dance Party USA. She went on to appear in several TV shows and movies before landing her breakthrough role on All My Children in 1990. She rose to fame as a co-host of the popular morning talk show Live with Regis and Kelly alongside Regis Philbin. She also gained popularity for her role as Hayley Vaughan on the soap opera All My Children.
