Multiple Oscar-winning action film Mad Max: Fury Road is reportedly set to get a prequel instead of a sequel.
The fifth installment of George Miller’s Mad Max saga will explore the story before Tom Hardy’s lone hero meets Charlize Theron’s Furiosa, reported Aceshowbiz.
The prequel is reportedly in pre-production. It is expected to start shooting in Australia later this year.
It’s unclear whether or not Miller will return for this prequel if the rumour is true.
He previously said that he would take a break from the Mad Max saga although it didn’t necessarily mean that he wouldn’t return for another movie because he still had “two more stories” to tell.
