Bihar exit poll 2025: MGB to give tough fight but its NDA again, no fire by JSP, pollsters predict

Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said on Wednesday that India cannot believe the exit poll results, adding that field reports from party workers in Bihar suggest that the wind is blowing in favour of the Mahagathbandhan.

He rubbished the exit polls in Bihar and said, "What were the exit poll results after the Haryana elections? A landslide victory for Congress was predicted but the results came in a different way. So let us wait for the results to come."

"Earlier, during every election around 8.30 pm, the Election Commission used to give us full details of the total turnout, how many men and how many women voted etc. Now they are not doing it. In some elections, the total polling count was announced after two weeks. We have been reiterating that the Election Commission has become a compromise commission," Venugopal said.

Congress MP Kumari Selja spoke to news agency ANI and said, "The BJP is trying to allure the people of Bihar, but Bihar wants change and development. The youth want employment. The Mahagathbandhan will form its government in Bihar this time."

Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal, speaking to news agency ANI, said, "The recently concluded elections have clearly shown the mood of the voters. The NDA government is going to be formed in Bihar. Women have greatly influenced these elections."

A key pollster, Axis My India, will release its exit poll projections' analysis at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, November 12.

So far, at least seven pollsters have released their projections and predicted a comfortable win for the NDA.

Following Tuesday evening's exit poll projections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has ordered 501 kg of laddoos in anticipation of its victory in the Bihar assembly elections, a move that comes ahead of the counting of votes on Friday.

BJP worker Krishna Kumar Kallu told news agency PTI, "On the counting day, NDA will celebrate Holi, Dussehra, Diwali and Eid because people have voted in favour of NDA's development works."

He added that the party has ordered 501 kg of laddoos to be "distributed as prasad" among people.

A Patna-based laddoo maker confirmed that the BJP workers ordered 501 kg of the traditional sweetmeat, which is to be delivered on the morning of November 14.

Bihar exit poll results 2025 LIVE: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav expressed confidence in the Mahagathbandhan while reacting to the exit poll projections for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections and said that Tejashwi Yadav is going to become the chief minister.

Speaking to reporters, Akhilesh said, "The people in Bihar have voted for change; Tejashwi Yadav is going to become the chief minister. To stop Mahagathbandhan, the BJP is deliberately getting exit polls done by their own people."

Ram Kripal Yadav, BJP candidate from Danapur, reacted to the exit poll projections and told reporters that "Tejashwi Yadav has lost and he is not accepting his defeat."

"Sometimes he raises questions about the Election Commission and the exit poll. The people's mandate should be accepted. Exit polls are never false," he added.

Congress MP Digvijaya Singh reacted to the exit poll projections for the Bihar assembly elections and said that when he visited the state, it was an "equal fight".

"If the NDA wins by more than 140 seats, it will be due to a manipulated voter list and a manipulated EVM," he told reporters.

Janshakti Janata Dal chief and Mahua seat candidate Tej Pratap Yadav said he does not believe in exit polls, adding that it can't be said what will happen on November 14.

"Let's see what happens," he added. Pratap expressed confidence that he is winning the Maua seat and said, "Jashn ki tayari nahi, hum kaam ki tayari karte hai..." (We don't prepare to celebrate, we prepare for work).

Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge noted that the exit poll projections for the Bihar assembly elections showed a lead for the NDA, indicating lesser support for the Mahagathbandhan.

"Similarly, in Haryana, exit polls had shown that Congress would win, but the results turned out the opposite, and the BJP came to power. Let’s wait and watch what happens when the actual results come," he told reporters.

UP minister Danish Azad Ansari expressed confidence that the NDA government will return to power in Bihar with a complete majority.

Speaking to news agency ANI, he said, "We thank the entire Bihar for the historic voter turnout as they strengthened democracy... NDA government will come into power with a complete majority... Under the guidance of PM Modi, Nitish Kumar government will work for the state's development and employment."

"The nervousness of the opposition says that they know the decision of the people, but they just don't want to accept it... They never accepted their mistakes, and RJD pushed the state towards Jungle Raaj where ransom became a working industry," he added.

Most of the exit poll projections released on Tuesday evening, after the conclusion of the second and final phase of voting for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, predicted a decisive victory for the National Democratic Alliance, with a range of 130-209 seats. The projections placed the Mahagathbandhan at a distant second position, while Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party, which many though could emerge as a spoiler, seemed to have made very little impact in Bihar.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav levelled serious allegations regarding the counting of votes.
"This time they will make all attempts to slow down the counting of votes. They will create fear in District Headquarters. They will not do anything where a bomb blast takes place. But they will take out a military flag march across all districts in Bihar to murder democracy so that there is fear among the people. In 2020 elections too, people voted for change. But there was foul play and there was a margin of just 12,000 votes. This time, we will do a clean sweep. Mahagathbandhan will register a massive victory...This time, our people won't be scared. They will stop vote chori, protect democracy and will do whatever sacrifices are needed to be made. But foul play will not be allowed this time."

Tejashwi Yadav has connected high voter turnout with Mahagathbandhan's chances of winning Bihar assembly election.
"There was a high voter turnout and people voted against this (Nitish Kumar) government... There is going to be a change this time, there is no scope for any ifs or buts."

JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar said that RJD will ‘face the anger of women’ for ‘accepting funds’ from liquor companies.
"No one, neither we nor anyone else, can claim to know the exact results of the 2025 Assembly election exit polls. However, since the percentage of women voters has increased significantly, we believe that the efforts made to support women and bring about positive change in their lives will yield results. The Rashtriya Janata Dal, which accepted funds from liquor companies through electoral bonds, will now face the anger of women. Tejashwi Yadav ji, no matter how many claims you make, it is definite that you are going to lose," he said.

RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari rejected the Exit poll projections for the Bihar assembly election, saying that they have been wrong in the past.
"Exit polls have been wrong in the past, which is why I reject them. People have voted to save Bihar, and the results will come on 14 November. What happened in 2015 and 2020, everybody knows. One should not believe these exit polls. The Mahagathbandhan will form its government, and Tejashwi Yadav will lead the state," Tiwari said.

JD(U) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan said the large number of women voters always means the NDA win in Bihar.

"We have seen unprecedented voting; whenever women have participated in large numbers, results have been in our favour."

As Exit Polls show an upper hand to the NDA, Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha says, "I thank every Bihari for voting in favour of the NDA government ."

State BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal said that the voters across Bihar have made up their minds, 'Phir Ek Baar NDA Sarkaar'.

"Voters across Bihar have made up their minds, 'Phir Ek Baar NDA Sarkaar'. The clear indication came right after the first phase of polling that the NDA was on its way to forming the government. In the second phase, the way women turned out in large numbers to vote further confirmed this, and even all the survey agencies made it clear that the NDA government is being formed again."

Ahead of the counting of votes on 14th November, tents being erected, chairs being brought and preparations for celebration begins at the residence of JD(U) candidate, Anant Kumar Singh, in Patna.

JD(U) MP Ram Nath Thakur said people of Bihar can see Nitish Kumar's work after the exit poll predicts a big NDA win.
"Seeing the trends, the determination of the voters, and their mindset, I have been confident from the beginning that the NDA government will be formed, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar ji. 20 years ago, Nitish Kumar ji served as a Member of Parliament five times, he was the Agriculture Minister, the Railway Minister, and held several other important portfolios. For the past 20 years, he has transformed Bihar. The people understand this, they can see it," he said.
