Bhopal rowers sweep 200-m events
A STATE-LEVEL Kayaking & Canoeing Championship got under way at Boat Club at the Lower Lake here today. Principal Secretary Housing & Environment P D Meena was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the championship.

In today’s event, Bhopal won all the three events in 200 meter. In K-4 event, Bhopal team was followed by Mandla. Bhopal was represented by Mahesh, Mohammed Tuafiq, Vinod and Vikrant. Mandla team, which came second, was represented by Nitish Nanda, Vivek Nisad, Kuldeep and Ayush.
In C-1 event, Sunil Keer of Bhopal came first, followed by Vijay Verma of Maheshwar and Shakti Keer of Omkareshwar. In K-1 event, Nardev Singh of Bhopal won while Vikram Yadav of Maheshwar and Narendra Yadav of Mandla remained second and third respectively.
