People fled in panic from a bus terminus in Ahmedabad on Tuesday when they found an unattended lunch box, which as the bomb disposal squad discovered later had only food inside it.
Police said the box was lying at platform No-7 of the Lal Darwaja bus terminus.
A passenger brought it to the notice of a cabin inspector, who in turn informed the police.
Police reached the spot with a bomb disposal squad and cordoned off the area as frightened passengers started fleeing.
The squad took the box to the nearby riverbed and opened it only to find some food inside.
This was the third bomb scare in Gujarat in the last seven days.
Earlier, the income tax offices in Vadodara and Surat were vacated following a similar panic.
A powerful blast at the railway station here last month had injured 14 people.
