Bob Bryan and Katarina Srebotnik of Slovenia rallied to beat Russia's Lina Krasnoroutskaya and Canada's Daniel Nestor 5-7 7-5 7-6 to capture the US Open mixed doubles title on Sunday.

For Bryan the victory helped take the sting out of a narrow three-set loss to Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden and Australia's Todd Woodbridge in the men's doubles with his twin brother Mike a few hours earlier.

The victory was also sweet revenge for Bryan and Srebotnik, who lost in last year's final.

It was the second grand slam title for both Bryan and Srebotnik.

Bryan teamed up with brother Mike to win the men's doubles title at the French Open in June, while Srebotnik won the mixed doubles at Roland Garros in 1999.
