Gaur, Dave deny phone-tapping

THE STATE BJP general secretary Anil Dave is still not able to believe why his phone should be tapped, that too during the BJP government. A private TV news channel India TV has claimed in its report tonight that the phones of a scores of politicians, bureaucrats and journalists were tapped when Babulal Gaur was the chief minister of MP.

THE STATE BJP general secretary Anil Dave is still not able to believe why his phone should be tapped, that too during the BJP government. A private TV news channel India TV has claimed in its report tonight that the phones of a scores of politicians, bureaucrats and journalists were tapped when Babulal Gaur was the chief minister of MP.

However, Gaur when contacted, told Hindustan Times neither did he get anybody’s phone tapped nor was he aware of any phone tapping incident during his tenure. Talking to Hindustan Times Anil Dave said first they would have to look at the authenticity of the document on the basis of which the report was being flashed by the TV channel.

He said those who are patriots and lead transparent life need not to be afraid of phone tapping, even if this is being done. The former minister and Uma Bharti loyalist Gaurishankar Shejwar said this should not have happened if it had really happened.

Another former minister and Uma Bharti acolyte Sunil Naik said he could not imagine that ‘they’ would come down to such a low. Since the people in MP had given mandate to Uma Bharti their phones were being tapped.
