ICSI awards to be presented on January 13

The Union Minister of Law and Justice will felicitate recipients of two awards instituted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Union Minister of Law and Justice HR Bharadwaj will felicitate recipients of two awards instituted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in Mumbai on Friday next.

The winners for 'Awards for best governed companies' and 'ICSI Life Time Achievement Award on the eminent Corporate personality for translating excellence in corporate governance into reality' have been finalised, an ICSI statement said.

Union Company Affairs Minister Prem Chand Gupta, Maharashtra Minister of Industries, Mining, Cultural Affairs and Protocol and former chief justice of India VN Khare would be the guest of honour, it added.

The awards were instituted in 2001 to identify, foster and reward the culture of globally acceptable standards of corporate governance among Indian companies.
