IN A ?unanimous? decision at the meeting of its Majlis-e-Shura, the All India Muslim Tehwar Committee (AIMTC) on Sunday decided to ?excommunicate? artist M F Husain from the community for playing with the sentiments of the majority community.

The AIMTC also raised the demand for constituting Muslim Regiment in the army on the lines of the existing Sikh, Gorkha and Jat Regiments.

“MF Husain has repeatedly played with sentiments of Hindus though he was given warning in the past but he is continuing the practice and thus it was decided to ostracise him from the community”, said Dr Ausaf Shahmiri Khurram, president of AIMTC after the meet.
