He was addressing the inaugural function of a ten-day seminar-cum-workshop of associate NCC officers (ANOs) at law faculty in BHU on Sunday. NCC Group ‘A’ of BHU has organised the ten-day training programme.
Prof. Lele said that the training of NCC inculcate a sense of discipline and thus leads one to the path of progress and development.
He also highlighted the role of NCC in the development of the country. He said that formal education along with training of NCC could extract the hidden qualities of students.
Group Commander Colonel VC Joshi exhorted the ANOs to take full advantage of this workshop. A wide-range discussion on contemporary political scenario of the country and ensuing capitalistic approach across the country was also held in the workshop.
Prof. SS Pandey presided over the technical session today whereas Prof. Asha Ram Tripathi conducted the programme. Prof. VK Kumra, Colonel DC Upadhyay, Colonel KK Singh, Captain RK Pandey and Captain Asgar Ali Ansari were among other prominent persons present on the occasion.
Around 75 selected NCC officers from 14 Group Headquarters of Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal are participating in this training programme. Deputy director general (NCC) of UP, Brigadier DN Verma will be the chief guest of the valedictory function on June 27.
