Man held for forging documents to obtain US visa

A 24-year-old man was arrested in Chicago on Thursday on charges of producing fake documents to obtain visa from the US Consulate here.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in Chicago on Thursday on charges of producing fake documents to obtain visa from the US Consulate here.

Police said Venkataramana, a school dropout, had forged documents to show that he was the proprietor of an export company to obtain a US visa, but officials at the Consulate detected it.

Later, based on a complaint by the Consulate, police arrested Venkataramana who hails from Bangalore.
