You are caught in a romantic moment with your lover expressing his undying love for you. Tring tring (or whatever your ringtone is)… your lovey-dovey dream is a living nightmare now. Welcome to the GenZ world where mean machines are a man’s best friends!

Three is a crowd:
With the ever-increasing numbers of cellphone users, lovebirds have uncalled company in the bedroom. “It’s so bugging when my husband takes a call in the bedroom.

Isn’t there life beyond work and friends? With mobile phones around, there seems to be no privacy at all,” snaps Pallavi, a 26-year-old housewife. If this sounds like your story well join the club of cellphone addicts.

Fat figures:
According to a recent survey (conducted in the UK), 42 per cent women and 30 per cent men prefer answering their phone call even in a intimate moment.

However, in India the trend has mostly affected the men. Agrees 32-year-old Pranav, a financial analyst, “I am addicted to my mobile. If I can take it to the loo, I will obviously carry it to the bedroom! What if I miss an important call?”

Alarming bells:
Sexologist Prakash Kothari warns that too much of cellphone usage can kill your sex life.

“I keep getting complaints where people crib that ‘over indulgence in cellphone usage is acting as a barrier in their sex life.’ Not many know that it can also affect one’s fertility says Kothari.

It’s fun being connected 24x7, but are you willing to give up the fun in the sack? Take a call…
