Rs 1,483 crore supplementary budget passed

THE Rs 1,483 crore third supplementary budget for the current fiscal 2005-06 was presented by State Finance Minister Raghavji in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today.

THE Rs 1,483 crore third supplementary budget for the current fiscal 2005-06 was presented by State Finance Minister Raghavji in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today. Speaker Ishwardas Rohani fixed a two-hour discussion tomorrow on the demand for supplementary grants.

The supplementary demands pertains to Rs 300 crore working capital to State Electricity Board, Rs 97 crore for providing potable water in problem villages, Rs 5 crore for tourism development, Rs 100 crore for Birsinghpur thermal station, Rs 98 crore for land acquisition for Pithampur’s auto testing track, Rs 60 crore for loan swapping of State Finance Corporation, Rs 100 crore for payment of dues and voluntary retirement scheme benefits to Madhya Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (MPRTC) employees and Rs 33 crore to police department.
